What do we collect?
Your sign-in email address. For each shop: the address, business type and radius, so we can find businesses, events and weather near you, plus up to 3 recipient email addresses you add, so we can send the issue. API key names and a hash of each key (we cannot read a key back after you create it). Basic delivery data, such as whether an email bounced. Server logs with request time and IP address, kept for security and abuse prevention.
Payments
AlleyPulse is a $39 per month per shop subscription. When billing is on, payment is taken by a third party payment provider on its own checkout page. We do not receive or store your full card number; we keep only what is needed to match a payment to your account, such as a customer reference, the subscription status and the invoice amount. During early access nothing is charged and no payment details are collected.
What we do not do
No advertising trackers on the website. We do not sell or share your address or email for advertising. Your shop address is used only to produce your issues.
How long do we keep it?
Addresses entered for a free sample are deleted after 30 days unless you subscribe; address checks are discarded right after the check. Account and shop data is kept while your account exists and deleted when you delete the account. Payment and invoice records may be kept longer where the law requires.
Who processes your data?
We use Cloudflare to host the website, app, API and database, an email delivery provider to send issues and sign-in links, data providers for public listing information about businesses near your shop, and a payment provider for billing. They process data only to provide those services to us.
What about the businesses in our reports?
Issues describe public listing data about businesses near you, such as rating and review count changes. We summarize review themes and never copy review text. All examples on this website are fictional. A business can ask to be left out of future issues by emailing [email protected].
Do you use cookies?
The marketing website sets no cookies. The web app uses one strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in, so no consent banner is needed. If that changes, we will ask first where the law requires it.
What are my rights?
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it or delete it at any time, from account settings or by emailing [email protected]. We will reply within 30 days.
Who can I contact?
[email protected] or [email protected]. We will email account holders before any material change to this policy.
