A weekly competitor and neighborhood report for restaurants

AlleyPulse is a weekly neighborhood intelligence email for restaurant owners. Every Monday it lists what changed within 1 km of your restaurant: competitor posts and promos, rating and review count moves, new and closed listings, local events, news and weather, each with a suggested action.

What does it do for a restaurant?

A restaurant's week is shaped by what is happening outside: an event that fills the street, a road closure that blocks deliveries, a rival's new offer, a forecast that moves the terrace. AlleyPulse collects those into one five minute read. It costs $29 per month per shop, the first issue is free, and you can cancel anytime.

What will I see each Monday?

  • Competitor posts and promos: public posts from nearby restaurants and bars, such as a new set lunch or a happy hour, read from their Google Maps listings and public social posts.
  • Rating and review changes: a nearby restaurant whose rating drops after a run of reviews, with the themes summarized, so you can see a service gap you could fill.
  • New and closed listings: a restaurant that appears on Google Maps near you, or one marked closed on Google. New listing means new on Google Maps, not opened.
  • Events, closures and news: markets, festivals, road works and council notices from public sources that change covers or deliveries.
  • Weather: the forecast for the week ahead, with what it means for staff, stock or a terrace.

What does an item look like?

Fictional examples of what an issue contains for a restaurant. Every real item also carries a dated source link.

What does it not do?

  • It is not a menu, delivery price or table availability tracker.
  • It does not manage or reply to reviews, and it does not track your Google Maps ranking.
  • It is weekly, not instant.

Choose Restaurant as the business type when you enter your address. Every source and its limits.

Questions restaurant owners ask

Is there a neighborhood intelligence service for restaurant owners?

Yes. AlleyPulse is a weekly neighborhood intelligence email for owners of restaurants and other local shops. It lists what changed within 1 km of your address each Monday, with why it matters, what to do and a dated source link for every item.

Can it track what competing restaurants are doing, like promotions and events?

It reports public posts and promos from nearby restaurants and bars, plus local events and news within your radius. It does not scrape menus or prices, and it is a weekly summary, not a live feed.

Does it tell me about road closures and events that affect my covers?

It lists markets, festivals and road closures that are published on public events calendars and local news pages near you. Coverage depends on what is published online for your area. It does not measure visitor numbers.

Will it show me reviews of other restaurants?

No review text is stored or shown. AlleyPulse reports rating and review count changes and summarized themes, such as 5 of 9 new reviews mention long waits, and links to the source.

Does AlleyPulse work for bars and pubs too?

Yes. Bar is its own business type, with its own wording for search interest and nearby listings. Choose Bar or Restaurant when you add your address.

How much does AlleyPulse cost for a restaurant?

$29 USD per month for each shop, billed monthly, and you can cancel anytime. The first issue of every shop is free, and a free sample report is available for any supported address. There is no setup fee and no contract.

How do I start with AlleyPulse for my restaurant?

Enter your restaurant's address on the home page, choose a radius of 0.5, 1 or 2 km and ask for the free sample. The first weekly issue is a baseline of what is around you today, and changes appear from issue 2.

Can I use AlleyPulse for more than one restaurant?

Yes. One account can hold many shops, each with its own address, radius and recipients. Each shop is its own $29 per month subscription, so two shops are $58 per month.
